The prime-minster, currently on an official visit to Holland, said that a person cannot be fired on the ground of their homosexual orientation. It came as a reply to the statement deputy Minister of Education Miroslaw Orzechowski’s statement. On Thursday, in an interview for TOK FM radio, he said that gay teachers, who come out, will be fired from work. Teachers’ Union ZNP demands the deputy minister to be fired instead.

Mirosław Orzechowski yesterday declared a fight with promotion of homosexual behaviour – and like he said – “other deviations of this kind” in schools and educational facilities. He added that disobedience in that matter will be punished severely. A teacher who will invite agitators, will lose his job, or even face jail. The same would apply to persons promoting homosexualism.

The Ombudsman is “deeply concerned

The Ombudsman expressed his ‘deep concern” (…). “Particularly inappropriate I find the remarks of Mr Miroslaw Orzechowski, who uses terms like “deviants” when talking about gay people’ – The Ombudsman Janusz Kochanowski wrote in his statement.

Ministry of Education’s spokeswoman Aneta Woźniak assured, that the deputy minister did not use the term “deviant” referring to persons. – ‘Deputy Minister Orzechowski was not talking about people, but actions. When you talk about “deviations” you mean the abnormal behaviour’ – she explained.

ZNP Teachers’ Union: Orzechowski should be dismissed

According to ZNP, Orzechowski should be dismissed for the remarks he made on Thursday. “The deputy minister announced that gay teachers will be fired” – says their statement. Therefore, according to the union, Orzechowski has broken the Constitution, which assures everyone is treated equally by the public authorities.

Aneta Woźniak replies that the deputy prime minister did not announce that gay teachers will be fired. – ‘No one will ask about your sexual preferences. Only those, who promote homosexualism will suffer the consequences’ – said the spokeswoman.

sure what Poland needs is a good kick in its Dupa. If you allow all your deviants and fags, out of the closet and into the government. Then you will systematicly corupt your society. After all Poland would only come in second place, Hameriak holds first place. Poland, has licked enough dog dirt from english boots. Listening to what the english what has never been in Polands interest. What is that Chinees saying? Poland for Polaks. The rewards are, dead Poles fighting for Bush/Cheney/Wolfowiz oil. Big money. While the Polak has his society governed by some reamed out asshole. Don’t look to Hamerik’s failures for guidence. Political correctness stifils free speech.

anonymous, what a bunch of utter nonsense!
diversity enriches the society, discrimination and persecution doesn’t work on anyone’s benefit – that’s obvious.
countries and cities that guarantee freedom, tolerance and acceptance, like berlin, paris, amsterdam, london, sydney are just thriving. full of new ideas, vibrant cultural life…

the change is coming from within Poland, what we need is generation change.

anyways, poland was the first country in the world to decriminalise homosexuality:>

I am one of many professionally successful bisexual and gay women living in New York. I accidentally got on this website and read anonymous’s comment.

It is hard to express my gratitude to God and Life for the fact that I live in New York, the city where such comments are laughed at, they are marks of the Stone age.

It’s not about countries and politics, it is about who I love in my life, forget for a second even about physical/mere sexual preferences. I will be bisexual in Poland and in Africa but I am so happy there are countries in the world where I can life freely and feel harmony with myself and people around me.

In my country of origin political corruption comes from the most ‘traditional’ (“macho”) type of men whereas gay people promote liberal and acceptant way of living for everybody.

I am not here to judge what is good for all. However, I wish to sustain the freedom I currently live in as well as help those other people who do not have this opportunity.

Thank you,
Sofia
